What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Related technologies such as local storage do a similar job. This policy covers both.

Strictly necessary

A session cookie identifies your browser while you are logged in, and a security token protects forms against cross-site request forgery. If you tick "remember me", a further cookie keeps you signed in between visits. These cannot be switched off, because without them you could not log in or play at all.

Preferences

If you change a display option such as light or dark appearance, we remember it on your device so the site behaves consistently next time.

Analytics

Optional, and off until you allow it. We use Google Analytics to understand in aggregate which pages and features are used, so we know what to keep and what to improve. With your permission it stores identifiers (cookies beginning _ga) that let it recognise a returning browser. Refuse or withdraw statistics consent and no such identifier is stored; the site works exactly the same either way.

Advertising

We do not use advertising, retargeting or profiling cookies on this site.

Third parties

Dovyfx serves its own fonts, styles, artwork and game code from its own domain, so playing loads nothing from anyone else's servers. One exception applies to measurement: if you allow statistics, Google Analytics is loaded from Google's servers and processes usage data on our behalf, which may involve transfer outside Canada. Nothing is loaded from Google until you allow it, and we do not use advertising, retargeting or profiling cookies.

How to refuse or remove them

You can clear site data or block cookies for this site in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will log you out and prevent you from signing back in; blocking the optional ones has no effect on the game.

Browser controls

Every major browser lets you view, delete and block cookies for an individual site, usually under privacy or site settings.
