Responsible Play

Nothing can be lost here. Play habits still matter, so here is practical guidance and where to find real help.

Why this page exists on a free site

No money can be lost at Dovyfx. But the rhythm of these games is the same rhythm used by real-money products, and for some people social games are a step toward gambling that does cost money. That is worth taking seriously even when nothing is at stake.

Keep it in proportion

These games are a way to pass twenty minutes. If you are playing to avoid something, to change how you feel, or because stopping is difficult, that is worth noticing regardless of whether money is involved.

Signs worth paying attention to

  • Playing much longer than you intended, repeatedly.
  • Losing sleep, or playing instead of things you had planned.
  • Feeling irritable or restless when you cannot play.
  • Thinking about the game while doing other things.
  • Looking for real-money versions of what you played here.

Practical steps

  • Decide how long you will play before you start, and set a timer.
  • Take a proper break in every session, away from the screen.
  • Do not play when tired, upset, or drinking.
  • Keep other things in your week that you look forward to.

Virtual chips are not practice

A free game teaches you nothing transferable about a real-money one. Chips here have no cash value, and outcomes on this site have no bearing on outcomes anywhere else. A good run at Dovyfx is not a sign of anything.

Protecting minors

This site is intended only for adults aged 19 or older in Canada who have reached the legal gambling age in their province or territory. If children use your device, consider browser-level parental controls or filtering software, and do not leave an account signed in.

Support in Canada

Find free, confidential support through the Responsible Gambling Council's Find Gambling Help for Canadians directory. Canada does not use one nationwide phone line for every province and territory. Choose the resource for where you live:

Taking a break from Dovyfx

Use Self-exclusion in your account settings to stop access immediately for 30 days, 180 days, one year, or permanently. The action deletes the account and blocks the same email address from registering again until the selected period ends. There is no retention offer and an active exclusion cannot be reversed early. If you cannot access your account, email support@dovyfx.com from the address on the account and ask for the exclusion to be applied.

If someone else is affected

The organisations above support family members and friends as well as players. You do not have to be the person playing to ask for help.
